The calculator
Everything you type into the calculator is worked out in your own browser. It isn't sent to this site or stored anywhere.
If you email me
I'll receive your email address and whatever you write. I use it only to reply, and I delete messages within 12 months unless we're still in touch. Emails are held in Gmail, a service run by Google, so they may be stored outside Australia.
Hosting and security
The site is hosted by Cloudflare. To deliver pages and protect the site from attacks, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address and browser type, which may happen outside Australia. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Visitor statistics
I use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It doesn't use cookies or track you across other sites, and it doesn't collect personal information. I only see totals.
Adverts and affiliate links
The site currently has no adverts and no affiliate links, and the site itself sets no cookies. Cloudflare may occasionally set a strictly necessary security cookie if it needs to check that a visitor isn't an automated bot. If I add adverts or affiliate links in future, I'll update this page first.
"Was this page useful?" buttons
If you click Yes or No at the bottom of a page, the site records only which page it was and your answer, added to a running total. Nothing about you is recorded, and nothing is stored on your device.
After you click, you can choose to type a short comment. If you send one, it is saved with the page, your answer and the date and time. Your name, email address and IP address are not saved with it, so please don't type personal details in the box. I use comments only to improve the site and delete them within 12 months.
Fonts
The fonts used on this site are stored on the site itself, so loading them doesn't send your information to anyone else.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information I hold about you, and ask me to correct or delete it. Email [email protected] and I'll reply within 30 days.
If you're unhappy with my reply, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
Changes
If this policy changes, I'll update this page and the date at the top.
